Cut Straight From the Coil

The Hymson HF-TU is a fully automatic coil-fed fibre laser cutting line, built by Hymson Laser Technology Group. Coil goes in one end and cut parts come out the other: the line loads, uncoils, levels, feeds, cuts and unloads in one continuous process, with cutting and feeding running at the same time.

It handles 0.3 to 2.5 mm coil from 70 to 1,500 mm wide and coils up to 10 tonnes, with a 3 to 6 kW fibre laser and 1.5 G acceleration. In Australia and New Zealand it is sold, installed, operator-trained and serviced by Industrial Laser Solutions, the official Hymson distributor.

It suits high-volume thin-sheet work where the same gauge runs all day: electrical cabinets and enclosures, appliance and HVAC panels, shelving and racking, brackets and general blanking.

Why Coil-Fed?

A coil line removes the handling between sheet stock and cut parts. That is where the time and cost go on high-volume thin work.

Uncoil and Level In-Line

The uncoiler and precision six-roll leveller flatten the strip before it reaches the cutting bed, so parts cut flat without pre-sheared blanks.

Cut While It Feeds

Cutting and feeding run at the same time, so the laser keeps cutting while the next section of coil moves into place. No table changes and no waiting on loading.

Automatic Unloading

The unloading unit takes cut parts off the line and sorts them, cutting manual handling and keeping the line running through a shift.

Run straight from coil instead of buying and storing cut-to-length sheet, nest parts along the strip and cut only the length each job needs.

What coil can the HF-TU run?

Coil from 0.3 to 2.5 mm thick and 70 to 1,500 mm wide, on coils up to 10,000 kg.

Is a coil line better than a flat bed laser?

For high volumes of thin parts in a few gauges, usually yes: you skip sheet handling and table changes and the line runs continuously. For mixed thicknesses, plate over 2.5 mm or short runs, a Hymson flat bed laser such as the HF-G is the better fit. We will tell you straight which one suits your work.

How much floor space does it need?

The full line is 16.1 m (HF3015GTU) to 21.1 m (HF6015GTU) long and 5.3 m wide, plus room to load coils with a forklift or crane. We supply a layout drawing for your site.

What is the warranty?

2 years on the laser source and machine frame; 1 year on the cutting head and auxiliary units. Consumables are excluded.

How long is delivery?

It depends on the configuration (bed length, power, source and coil handling). We give you a firm delivery date with your quote.
